NOT SURE WHAT IS CAUSING THE DAMAGE?

    READ OUR IDENTIFICATION GUIDE

    HOW IT WORKS

The Kitchen & Food Moth Trap uses a species-specific pheromone attractant to draw male pantry moths onto its adhesive surface, where they are captured.

This helps confirm the presence of food moths, identify areas of activity and interrupt their breeding cycle. Regular monitoring can also provide an early warning before an infestation becomes more established.

The trap captures adult male moths but will not remove eggs or larvae already present in food. Any affected products must be identified and disposed of, followed by thorough cleaning of the surrounding cupboards.

    APPLICATION

    HOW TO USE

Follow these steps for effective, even coverage. Always read the product instructions before application.

    1. INSPECT THE AREA
Check flour, cereals, rice, pasta, nuts, seeds, dried fruit and pet food for larvae, webbing or damaged packaging. Dispose of affected products securely.
    2. CLEAN THROUGHLY
Empty the cupboard and vacuum shelves, corners, cracks and shelf-support holes. Wipe down the surfaces and allow them to dry.
    3. PREPARE THE TRAP
Remove the protective backing and fold the trap according to the instructions supplied. Avoid touching the adhesive surface.
    4. POSITION AND MONITOR
Place the trap close to the affected cupboard or food-storage area. Check it regularly and replace it after 12 weeks, or sooner if the adhesive surface becomes full or contaminated.
    POSITIONING GUIDE

    WHERE TO PLACE IT

Place the trap close to cupboards and storage areas containing dry food products. Position it where moth activity has been noticed, while keeping it away from direct heat, strong draughts and open food.

For larger kitchens or separate storage areas, use more than one trap to help identify where activity is concentrated.

    01 Kitchen cupboards
    02 Pantry shelves
    03 Food-storage rooms
    04 Utility rooms
    05 Commercial food-storage areas
    GOOD TO KNOW

Position traps in quiet, undisturbed areas close to natural fibres or wherever moth activity has been noticed. Avoid placing them directly beside open windows, strong draughts or artificial fragrances.

    EXPERT ADVICE

Pantry moth larvae can spread beyond the original food packet before pupating. Check cupboard corners, shelf holes and nearby packaging—not just the product where you first noticed activity.
