Product Overview

BuxTrap is a refillable, reusable solution designed to protect Buxus plants from the damaging effects of Box Tree Moth infestations. Using a dual-pheromone lure system, it attracts and traps male moths to disrupt breeding cycles and prevent caterpillar outbreaks — providing season-long protection without chemical sprays.

How It Works

The BuxTrap uses two pheromones to effectively attract and contain male moths:

• The first lure, placed in the lid, draws moths from a distance
• The second lure, inside the trap, guides them into the funnel where they remain contained

Add 2–5cm of water and a few drops of washing-up liquid to the trap base to neutralise odours and maintain trap performance throughout the season.

Setup & Coverage

• Hang traps 1–1.5m above ground, or up to 1.8m for optimal results
• Position traps within 2m of Buxus plants
• Replace pheromone lures every 4–6 weeks for continuous protection
• One trap protects a small to medium-sized garden

Application

• Install traps from mid-March, when Box Tree Moths begin to emerge
• Maintain throughout the growing season for uninterrupted protection
• Refill water and detergent as needed
